Australian shares were down after the close on Monday as sectors led stocks.
At the close in Sydney, the S & P/ASX 200 was unchanged at 0%.
Blackmores Ltd was the best performer on the S&P/ASX 200, remaining unchanged at 0%, or 0 points, at 89.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Resolute Mining Ltd was unchanged at 0% or 0 points to close at 0.275, while Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Ltd was unchanged at 0% or 0 points to close at 21.64 in late trading.
The worst performer was Nuix Ltd, which was unchanged at 0% or 0 points to close at 1.30 in late trade. Credit Corp Group Ltd fell 0% or 0 points to 31.14, while Insurance Australia Group Ltd fell 0% or 0 points to 4.860.
On the Sydney Stock Exchange, falling shares outweighed rising ones by 732 to 696, and 382 ended unchanged.
Nuix Ltd shares were unchanged at their all-time low, unchanged at 0%, or 0 to 1.30.
The S& P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S& P/ASX 200 options, remained unchanged at 0% at 17.501.
Gold futures for April delivery rose 0.63%, or $12.05, to $1911.85 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.68%, or 3.32, to $93.53 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.10%, or 1.95, to $94.94 a barrel.
AUD/USD was unchanged by 0% at 0.7206, while AUD/JPY was unchanged by 0% at 82.68.
Futures on the US dollar index were 0.10% higher at 96.112.
